Jim Drawbridge Scholarship

The founder of the College’s varsity hockey club, James Drawbridge was an active and passionate advocate for the program for more than a decade. As a freshman in 1963, he was the first to organize an on-campus hockey club and later lobbied successfully for the sport to attain varsity status. While coaching the team, Drawbridge served as the College’s Director of Alumni Relations and Job Placement. He departed Hillsdale in 1974.

The scholarship was created by Drawbridge’s former players, in honor of his hard work and determination that was dedicated to the hockey program.
